With gates opening at 10am, you’ll be able to enjoy a day of action packed jet-boat racing. This exciting sport will have you on the edge of your seat with its fast pace tight turns, and V8 horsepower as teams compete for the PSP NZ Jetsprint Championship. Only a half hours drive from Napier, it’s the perfect event for the petrol head in family. And with raised banking on each side of the track for spectators, even the littlest fan will have an amazing view of the action. The Riverside track was built in a spring feed lagoon to provide an ideal jetsprint track with natural islands, and guaranteeing a race full of action. Tickets purchased at the gate.
Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans. 11th – 21st March 2016, Various Locations, Napier.
A global and ground breaking street art project, Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans is coming to Napier. The project will transform many of the city’s unused walls into extraordinary works of art. The project aims to raise awareness about the plight of the ocean through art, using contemporary artists. During the festival, Napier will become a hive of activity with live spray-painting demonstrations, pop-up exhibitions, and an open-air film festival.
