Hawke’s Bay Events – Summer 2019

It’s an exciting time of year in Hawke’s Bay with a number of spectacular events happening throughout the summer. This is a super busy time of year and our on-site pool is generally pretty busy with kids and families enjoying cooling down after a busy day out so keep us in mind when booking that summer holiday!

Black Barn Grower’s Market

Saturday morning 9:00am – 12:00pm

New Zealand’s original farmers market, the Black Barn Growers’ Market has been running for more than 14 years and has become a ‘must-do’ for locals and visitors alike on Saturday Mornings through summer.

Open from 9 till noon every Saturday of summer, just follow the line of cars down Black Barn Road to the carparks and you’ll see the market under the trees beside the underground cellars.

Tremains Art Deco Festival

Wednesday 13th – Sunday 17th Feb 2019

This is one of Hawke’s Bays biggest events of the year with people travelling from all over the world to take part. Go back in time to the 1930’s and celebrate in style with over 200 events including car shows, aerobatic flying displays, concerts and plenty of more fun for the entire family.

The festival celebrates the city’s rebuild after the 1931 earthquake and the stunning Art Deco style buildings that stand as a result. So get dressed up for the occasion!

The events take place from Wednesday 14th – Sunday 18th Feb 2017 at various locations. A Festival Programme can be found here. The whole region is usually booked out months in advance but we do sometimes have a late cancellation. Call us to check, and if we cannot help… book in for next year!
